Chief Executive’s Foreword:
Cybersecurity is an important growth sector in Singapore’s economy and digital future. As organizations digitalise further and cyber threats continue to grow in scale and sophistication, there is a growing need to strengthen the cybersecurity workforce by identifying and training individuals to lead cybersecurity functions in organizations. The CSLP aims to strengthen local cybersecurity leaders’ strategic and leadership capabilities to influence strategy, drive organizational cybersecurity posture and resolve cybersecurity challenges through innovation and partnerships.
Overview of the
Cybersecurity Strategic Leadership Programme
The Cybersecurity Strategic Leadership Programme (CSLP) is a 15-day learning journey designed for cybersecurity leaders who are responsible for making cybersecurity business critical and an integral part of their organization’s strategy. This programme is jointly offered by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and Singapore Management University (SMU). It is delivered by SMU’s renowned faculty, a global pool of cybersecurity industry experts and senior executives from various industries with established experience in the field.

Elevating Technical Leaders into Transformational Business Leaders
- Align on a common understanding of ‘resilience’ and specifically how it relates to the cyber domain. Explore how cyber resilience differs from cybersecurity and what is driving this change.
- Deep dive into how corporate governance concepts apply to cyber risk management and have been challenged by emerging trends in Board and Regulatory requirements.
- Explore the concept and theory of strategy, what it is and what it is not within a business context and then craft a business-centric cyber resilience strategy to take back to organizations.
- Provide a framework and understanding of how power and influence are structured within corporate organizations to aid participants return to the workplace when implementing their resilience strategies.
- Engage with leading cyber security executives, industry leaders and government decision makers in the United Kingdom to explore and learn from best practices in enterprises and in public-private partnerships.

Who Should Attend
The programme is targeted at senior cybersecurity leaders of C and C-1 levels with substantive cybersecurity responsibility. Participants to be based in Singapore. Selected applicants (Singaporeans only) may qualify for a subsidy of up to 75% of the course fee.

François has a deep hands-on knowledge of the challenges of the IT industry leaders, having spent the first part of his life in management positions at Philips, Hitachi and Microsoft and then in a web agency he co-founded with 3 business partners. He is Head, Learning and Innovation, at SMU ExD.
ISTARI Academy
William Dixon is the Director of the Academy and Community. Previously he was Head of Future Networks and Technology at the World Economic Forum's Centre for Cybersecurity. Will held senior leadership positions at Barclays Bank, helping lead a programme to defend the Bank and its clients from major cybercriminal, cybersecurity and physical threats.
