Until recently Arwin Rasyd served as President Director of CIMB Niaga, a merger between the ASEAN multinational bank based in Malaysia CIMB and the Indonesian bank Niaga. Arwin previously served as President Director of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, Vice-President Director of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk and President Director of PT Bank Danamon Tbk.
Starting his banking career at Bank of America in 1980, he was then named as an expert at the National Bank Restructuring Agency, IBRA, and In 2000 became Vice Chairman of IBRA.
Arwin is also the author of “180 Degrees: the Inside Story of Bank Danamon’s Transformation” published in Bahasa Indonesia with an English translation.
Arwin has a Bachelor degree in Development Studies from the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1981, and a Master degree in International Economics and an MBA International Business from the University of Hawaii, USA and also participated in various executive educations at the Harvard School of Business, Wharton School of Business, and INSEAD.
